great place for all ages to enjoy, people very friendly although some people can be put off by hassle when shopping but plenty bargains to be had.Having been to marmaris and gumbet previous years food and drinks do seem to be dearer in altinkum but its still good value for your money.we ate at several different places and never once had a bad meal. The golfbar served great pizzas and had good atmosphere and sunday lunch in valentines was huge! Cheers bar, ege bar and swanlake are all in Dolphin square and fun places to enjoy your nights. excursions we did were an all inclusive boat trip which was great way to top up tan, we had great fun as our boat was full of scousers , geordies and manx who all mixed well. we went to both the didim waterpark and the kusadasi waterpark and had good time at both . Kusadasi waterpark is huge and has lots of great slides for adults, make sure you check times for dolphin shows when you enter though as the day we went there was only one show on and we missed it! you can book to swim with the dolphins but its usually after 5.30pm which is when organised trips tend to leave. the food at both waterparks was awful and expensive but you cant take food or drinks in with you so you have to put up with it. the main beach in altinkum is gorgeous but at peak time it gets very crowded, we went to 3rd beach a couple of times where it doesnt get as crowded and the beds ,parasols are free. The PENGUIN BAR offer transport to and from 3rd beach all you have to do is ask your accomodation receptionist to phone them and they will pick you up, the food and drink at penguin bar is great , and they will drop you back at your hotel when you want to leave. we love ALTINKUM and are going back in october this year , cant wait !

We have been going to Altinkum for the last 15 years wouldn?t go ant where else now although we have seen lots of changes as the resort is growing rapidly with more Brits deciding it is the place to live, the atac hotel and its staff are pure magic good sized rooms and plenty to sing and dance about, Altinkum as a resort is great the beaches (and there are three) are clean and roomy sun beds and umbrellas for hire but beware the sun is very hot even on a cloudy day, cafes and bars are cheap the only down side is the touting but a firm no should suffice , if you are on the quiet side of the resort then a stroll to dolphin square is not to far away where you will find an array of shops and the back streets are good for bargains taxis are cheap but ask before setting off and get your price ,Apollo temple is a nice ride and well worth a visit as is Ephesus though this is quite a way and best booked yourself , soke is good for shopping as there are outlets all within walking distance of each other but make sure you have lira as none of the shops will change money , yaniser market is just a short drive by taxi or dolmus and has bargains galore this is open every Saturday but go early as it gets very hot and busy , all in all you will have a great time will be welcomed by the Turkish people and want to go back year after year as we do learning a couple of Turkish words is good and the basics are easy impress your hosts with your knowledge you will be glad you did . Have a great time we will be back in September for two weeks might even see you there happy holiday Sheila

We have been to lots of places, but this was one of the best holidays we've had. There's something for everyone food is great good value for money's touch of class is a good choice its on the main street opposite the spice apartment's boat trips are good to, you can walk to the harbour & book the boat yourself if you prefer. Turkish people are so polite &friendly they make you feel so welcome they cant do enough for you. A trip to pamukkale (cotton castle) a bit of a long coach ride but is well worth a visit, you can relax in cleopatra's pool its like bathing in warm champagne am sure that whoever you are you will have an excellent time in Altinkum.

What a place, best holiday we have every had and we have travalled all over, people are so friendly and helpful could not do enough for us. We ended up buying our own appartment off dolphin square and have been back lots more times with family and they said the same. All age could go and have a great time be it night clubbing or sight seeing and the food is out of this world. Our daughter was taken ill last time we was ouy there and the owner of one of the bars told us to come for him in the middle of the night if she was no better and he would take her and her husband to a near by doctors it was no trouble.
